Recently I had a fall
A slip back to the past
It really shook me up
To the point I was at my last
I nearly gave up that day
Feeling that I could not go on
All I could see was gloom and doom
The weight on my shoulders a tonne
Sleepless nights, tossing and turning
My peace of mind destroyed
Feeling so weary from the fight
At myself, I was really annoyed
How could I let this happen to me?
Standing alone on that ledge
I let someone press my buttons
nearly pushing me over the edge
Some time has passed
since that fateful day
I've decided to try again
I'll beat this yet and have my way
The single thought that helps me through
I am worth the effort!
To you, I don't have to answer
The ball is now in my court
I'll take control of my life again
Standing proud and tall
Everybody makes mistakes
I'll again answer life's call
I will succeed
I will not look back
I'll forge ahead
My achievements I'll stack
One day remembering this day
The time I took a stand
The day I finally succeeded
And on my feet I'll land
