Each day I count my blessings
and thank the Lord for these.
There has been many a battle
replaced now by a gentle breeze.
My fears I would never have overcome

You have been my champion knight
protecting me with pride.
You have been my guiding light
the happiness I cannot match.
Never giving up on me
helping me over the rough patch.
I remember the first day that we met
I could not see clearly then.
Looking back now over the years
my partner, my soulmate and friend.
