Is Love Blind?
There she was sitting on the bench,
such sorrow in her eyes.
Pretending to the world that all was fine
as she looked up to the skies.

She sat there till the sun went down
never saying a word to anyone.
Looking and reflecting on her life,
the tears roll down, her feelings undone.

A young man approaches slowly,
she tells him to go away.
He sits beside her and takes her hand,
he wants to have his say.

He had been looking for her everywhere.
He was nearly out of his mind.
From his pocket he reveals a flower,
saying "I know that Love is blind."

He added these words to that motto,
"I'm sorry for hurting you so.
I want you to know that I'd rather die
than to lose your love, you know."

I watched him dry her precious tears,
and with each tender kiss upon her face,
he did erase her hurts and fears,
promising never again,
her trust to misplace.

They walked away, to I know not where.
I wonder if they still are together.
My heart still smiles at the words I heard,
"I'll promise to love you forever and ever"
