I remember the words you spoke to me.
"Where-ever you are, no matter the time,
I will be there for you.
A shoulder to lean on"

How I need you now,
to draw on your strength.

You said to close my eyes and
think of you,
"wrapping your arms around me,
feel your strength,
your warmth and support."

"Rest in your arms until I feel safe again and with renewed strength,
face the world again."

My heart is in a panic,
my life is in turmoil.
I feel lost and
everything is out of control.

I stand at the window and
look out to the sky above,
the storm is raging,
the rain is pumelling downwards
like the feeling in my heart.

The lightening strikes and
everything is illuminated and
for a fleeting second
I see you behind me,
arms outstretched.
I step backwards and feel your warmth.

My eyes are closed,
I smell you all around.
My heart beats rapidly.
I hear your soft and gentle words, whispering in my ear.
"You are safe now,
I will guard and watch  over you,
come to bed and rest in my arms.
Let the soothing sound of my heartbeat rock you to sleep".

With those words in my ears,
I climb into bed,
pull the pillows all around,
and the covers over me and
drift off to sleep.

Once again,
you have saved me,
my love.
The guardian of my heart.

You are my Angel guiding me through
Each and every day
I am thankful for you.....
