The Demon Drink
The demon drink with it's magical lure
Stealing your judgement,
clouding your vision
Creating havoc for which there is no cure
Alcohol, a car and a youth on a mission.

"Don't drink and drive!" they said to him.
"She'll be right mate! I'm in control"
Weaving, winding and grinding the rim.
Out of control in his life's new role.

The red light, the brakes, the screech.
"What have I done?" a voice says within.
"She'll be right mate!" his voice echoes.
Realization sets in, he'll never atone.
